We are focusing on improving people’s social status and offering them skills that will facilitate the process of eradicating hunger and extreme poverty, we look to ensure that all people establish those with the fewest resource (women and youth) have access to education and train if they are to succeed at the household and community level, and we offer opportunities for them to start small projects for income generation and food security We have a number of volunteering roles available ranging from 2 weeks to 2 years OUR VACANCIES We require skilled DEVELOPMENT WORKERS with knowledge and /or experience in the following fields
REQUIREMENTS OF DEVELOPMENT WORKER PLACEMENTS Positions range from 2months to 2 years All our programmes can be tailored to the individual volunteer so we can make the most of your skills set and be as flexible as possible Each development work is asked to cover all costs related to their travel and living expenses and will be met at Entebbe airport by LYDI UGANDA representative and transported to Lwengo. Accommodation costs are GBP 50 for the running of the office, which will provide you with internet access and other tools required. The volunteering aspect is free as your skills are available to our organization. We will happily provide training and advice on how best you can raise these funds to enable your stay in Uganda with LYDI UGANDA and we can put you in touch with previous development workers from LYDI UGANDA Please contact us for application form on this email addres lydiuganda@gmail.com Interns We also seek interns to join our team for and the following criteria would apply Must be 18years and above Must be willing to adapt to new challenges The ideal candidate should have interest in development work All our programmes can be tailored to the individuals in team so we can make the most of your skills set and be as flexible as possible Each internee is asked to cover all costs related to their travel and living expenses and will be met at Entebbe airport by LYDI UGANDA representative All interns will be provided a local mentor who will be fluent in English and will be responsible for their well being will educate them about local culture and traditions and will organize social events and activities, the activities interns may take part in are visiting to national parks to view local animals like elephants, gollillas, cobs, antelopes, white water rufting, trips to Kampala Uganda buzzing capital and visiting traditional villages. |
